This internet-based course (Internetlerneinheit) provides a thematic analysis of the religious systems of contemporary Japan. The course consists of six subject areas or \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"chapters\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\", each of which is further structured in four study \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"elements\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\". The main headings are: Introducing Japanese religions; The religious structuring of space in Japan; Festivals of life and welfare; Life cycle rites and caring for the ancestors; Japanese religions in their variety. Chapter 7 is reserved for a concluding evaluation process. The course is managed in cooperation with other universities and is offered from time to time by agreement with the tutors named. |
